GuestCaddy™ provides an AI concierge that answers questions from guests staying at short-term rental properties. Guests call the property's concierge phone number. During that call, a guest may ask for information to be sent to them by text message. This page describes exactly how that works.
There is one opt-in path, and it is verbal.
A guest staying at a property calls the concierge phone number posted at that property. The guest initiates the call. GuestCaddy™ never places outbound calls and never sends a text to anyone who has not called and asked for one.
If, during that call, the guest asks for something to be sent to them by text — for example an address, a link, or instructions — the concierge reads the following disclosure before sending anything:
"I can text that to you. GuestCaddy sends messages only when you ask for them, so just a few per stay. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help or STOP to stop receiving messages at any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at guestcaddy.com. Would you like me to send it?"
The guest must then answer yes. If the guest says no, does not answer clearly, or says anything other than an affirmative, no message is sent.
Consent is captured on each call. A guest who calls again on another day will hear the disclosure again before any further message is sent.
Only the specific information the guest asked for during the call. Typically an address, a phone number, a link to the property's guest portal, or short instructions relating to something at the property.
Example messages:
Here's the address you asked for: 123 Main Street, Franklin TN. — GuestCaddy concierge for Whiskey Hollow Ranch. Reply STOP to opt out.
The link you asked for: guestcaddy.com/stay/whiskey-hollow-ranch — GuestCaddy concierge. Reply STOP to opt out.
GuestCaddy™ does not send marketing or promotional messages of any kind. We do not send appointment reminders, offers, newsletters, or notifications the guest did not request. We do not send messages to numbers collected from any source other than a guest asking during a call.
Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how many times a guest asks for information. Most guests receive no messages at all. Those who do typically receive one or two during their stay.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on the guest's mobile carrier and plan.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email george@guestcaddy.com.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages. The opt-out takes effect immediately and no further messages will be sent to that number.
Phone numbers are used only to send the information requested. They are never sold, and never shared with third parties for their own purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
